Chicago Bulls shooting guard Jimmy Butler had the best game of his young career against the Knicks on Thursday night, and afterward he made it known that he thinks he would make a good boyfriend for a certain pop superstar.
The Bulls swingman is having a career year and figures to land a very nice contract in the offseason, so perhaps he is trying to land an A-list girlfriend while things are going so well for him.
Butler apparently got on to the topic of Taylor Swift, and he made a reference to the infamous incident when Kanye West basically prevented her from talking at the VMAs a couple of years ago.

Butler then revealed his motive for standing up for Swift. He apparently recently found out that Taylor Swift is in a relationship with John Mayer, and he did not approve of the news, indicating that he thinks that she should drop Mayer and come to Chicago to date him instead.

There is no indication that Swift will take Butler up on his offer.
Butler is in his fourth NBA season, all for the Bulls. He has improved each year in the league, and he is known for both his tenacious perimeter defense and for the Herculean minutes totals he posts under coach Tom Thibodeau. During important games, it is not uncommon for Butler to play the entire 48 minutes.
Butler is also posting the best statistical season of his career and is a virtual lock to make his first All Star team. He is averaging 21.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game, all career highs. He is also shooting a career-best 48.6 percent from the field.
