Oklahoma City had won seven straight games heading into last night's tilt, and looked to be in good shape after reigning MVP Kevin Durant hung 30 points on the Warriors before halftime. With seconds left in the first half though he sprained his ankle and missed the rest of the game. His status for tonight's matchup is uncertain.

"I wanted to play. I wanted go back out there, but we wanted to be cautious," Durant said. "I was a little nervous, but I knew that when I got up and started walking that it felt good. I just wanted to make sure with the X-ray that everything was good."

Should Durant be unable to play, the burden of scoring will return to point guard Russell Westbrook, who is having arguably the best season of his own career. This season he's averaging a career-best 26.9 points and 6.9 assists.

The Lakers, meanwhile, are still overly reliant on Kobe Bryant to create offense; when he struggles, as he did Monday night against Indiana, the Lakers get blown out.

"They jumped out to a quick lead on us and we just compounded it that we couldn't throw the ball in the ocean sitting on a boat," Bryant said.

"Sometimes you just have to pat yourself on the back for an atrocious job. We didn't have our legs at the start of the ball game. We just could not get ourselves activated."

Bryant was 8-of-26 from the field in the loss.
