Sting WWE Debut: [VIDEO] WWE Teases Sting vs. Triple H Match Amid WrestleMania 31 Rumors

The WWE appears to be all-in on a match between Triple H and Steve "Sting" Borden for WrestleMania 31 as they released a teaser video about a potential matchup between the two.

Amid speculation that "The Vigilante" Sting will wrestle his first WWE match -- and possibly the last bout of his career -- at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in California, the WWE released a new "Fantasy Matchup" YouTube video teasing a contest between the former WCW and TNA icon and "The Game."

The video opens up with a look back at Michael Cole and Triple H talking about Sting potentially entering a WWE ring someday.

Seth Rollins Opens Up About His Thoughts On CM Punk

The vignette then flashes back to Survivor Series last month where Sting got into a physical altercation with Triple H and then helped Dolph Ziggler pin Seth Rollins to win the main event for Team Cena and cause The Authority to lose power.

It was reported after Sting's shocking debut at Survivor Series that he signed a six-appearance deal with the company, the first of which was used that night in St. Louis.

The WWE then spliced different segments and interviews of the two into the teaser to further the feud and the continuity of the storyline.

"Me vs. Triple H, it's kind of like now or never," Sting says in the video. "The wave is coming into shore and I'd say [it's] about time something happens."

The WWE then added Triple H's retort to Sting's debut into the video.

"Sting, I am not sure why you decided to come here," Triple H says. "Maybe it was some kind of attempt to stand in the ring with me for 30 seconds and make your career relevant."

The video then cut to Cole talking to Triple H about a potential match with Sting.

"It's pretty obvious [what would happen], isn't it? I'm gonna Pedigree him right in the middle [of the ring]," Triple H said.

Sting countered alluding to his Scorpion Death Drop finisher,: "I think it's probably next to impossible to end up in a Pedigree situation if you've been dropped on the back of your head."

There were rumors over the last couple of years that Sting would face The Undertaker, but with questions surrounding "The Deadman's" future, it's doubtful the WWE will be putting that match together.

Sting vs. Undertaker was rumored for WrestleMania XXX, but the company failed to get a deal done with "The Vigilante" and opted to book current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar to beat Undertaker and end The Streak.

The Undertaker was hurt during the match with "The Beast", and it's now uncertain if he'll compete at WrestleMania 31 or sit this year out.

The current rumors call for Triple H to face Sting while if healthy, The Undertaker would clash with the "Eater of Worlds" Bray Wyatt.

Sting was still open to facing 'Taker this year without The Streak, but he also named Triple H as a possible opponent a few months ago in an interview with WWE.com.

With the latest video teaser, it appears Triple H vs. Sting is destined for the "Show of Shows" on March 29.
