The Mavericks are pushing the limits of just how efficient an NBA offense can be this season, and they may have just gotten even better by adding former all star point guard Rajon Rondo from the Boston Celtics.
Cuban was excited to land Rondo, as he explained to the Dallas Morning News, saying, "He is intense, he knows how to play. He immediately becomes our second-best rebounder. He pushes the ball and his length gives us more defensive options. And I think you will see an inspired player with something to prove when he puts on a Mavs' uniform."

What makes the deal particularly interesting is where Cuban was when he gave the go ahead. Cuban reportedly finalized the deal while sitting in the green room during the last episode of Comedy Central's hit show, The Colbert Report.

It is not the first time that Cuban has conducted important business is an unusual location. Over the summer, Cuban signed highly touted free agent Chandler Parson while the two were at a nightclub together.
