Every time it seems like the affair scandal involving DeMarco Murray and Brennan Clay cannot get any more weird, something new crops up. Now, Clay himself has posted something new on his Twitter page that raises doubts about the alleged affair between his wife Gina D'Agostini and the Cowboys running back.
Murray still has not commented about this situation one way or another, although he has continued to infrequently post things to his Twitter account. Now, it appears that he may not have to comment about the affair because Clay is backtracking on the issue.

Clay posted this tweet just a few days after posting another about second chances. At first glance, it appeared that he may have been wallowing in sadness when talking about deserving a second chance. Instead, he may have been referring to giving his wife Gina another chance.

Although he apologizes, it is not exactly clear who he is apologizing to in the tweet. Based on the picture, it seems like he is apologizing to Gina, although it may be to Murray or somebody else.
As far as knowing all of the facts, Clay alleged to have found in excess of 50 text exchanges between his wife and her partner in the affair, one of which he posted online. He also presented some compelling circumstantial evidence that pointed towards Murray being the other man.
It still does not seem like all of the details have come to light with this story, but for now, at least, Clay and his girl appear to be trying to mend their relationship. Clay had filed for divorce from Gina the day after he broke the initial news. There is no word yet on whether he will continue to pursue the divorce.
