Rory McIlroy, Caroline Wozniacki Update: Wozniacki Video of Golf Shot a Dig at Former Fiancé? [VIDEO]

Rory McIlroy just can't shake Caroline Wozniacki.

Days after the world's No. 1 golfer had to endure an interview during a rugby match in which Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" came on as background music and the fans started singing, his former fiancée posted an Instagram video of herself working on her swing at a golf driving range, as reported by CBSSports.com.

Caroline Wozniacki says she's done with marathon running - for now

The No. 8-ranked tennis player in the world said her drive had the distance - unlike her relationship with McIlroy.

She posted the following message on her Instagram account:

"Not the prettiest golf swing, but 200 yards on the first try... Boom! #notprettybuteffective"

Her attempt on her Instagram was a far better stroke than the one she produced when she caddied for McIlroy at the Masters in April.

The couple went through a very public breakup in May when McIlroy, on the eve of the BMW PGA Championship on the European Tour, announced that they had broken up -- and it was amicable.

McIlroy garnered immediate sympathy as he proceeded to win the BMW PGA Championship, drawing praise for his ability to focus on his play even while going through a difficult period personally.

The sympathy, however, soon moved to Wozniacki's camp as reports of how McIlroy ended things surfaced. Multiple media outlets reported that McIlroy, who was to marry Wozniacki at the end of 2014, broke up with her over the phone.

She originally thought the phone call was a joke. A hobbled, heartbroken Wozniacki then proceeded to bow out in the first round of the French Open.

The breakup seems to have revived the careers of both athletes. McIlroy went on to win final two majors of 2014 -- the British Open and the PGA Championship -- and reclaimed the No. 1 world ranking.

Wozniacki won the Istanbul Cup in July for her only victory in 2014, but she also advanced to the finals of the U.S. Open -- her first Grand Slam final since 2009 (also at the U.S. Open) -- and the season-ending WTA Tour Finals championship match.

She lost on both occasions to best friend Serena Williams. In the process, Wozniacki improved her ranking from 16th to eighth in the world.

She also ran the New York City Marathon in three hours, 26 minutes.
