Daniel Bryan Return: WWE Stars Comeback Impacting Roman Reigns Plans? [VIDEO]

It has been expected that Roman Reigns is going to be pushed as "The Man" going forward in the WWE this year, but Daniel Bryan's impending return could change the course the WWE is going in.

According to WrestleZone, the WWE learned that Bryan was medically cleared to return to action three weeks ago and it led to them making the decision to have Bryan make his comeback at the 2015 Royal Rumble on Jan. 25 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Bryan announced this past week on Monday Night RAW that he will be in the 30-man match, joining Reigns as the only two Superstars to reveal they are entering the match this year.

"Is my career over?" Bryan asked the audience on RAW. "No. That is not the announcement that I came here to make. I am ready to fight. I am ready to compete. And will I be in the 2015 Royal Rumble [Match]? Yes! Yes!"

Per the report, the WWE has yet to consider changing plans and as of right now a Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar match is expected for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in California.

While a change may not be imminent, Bryan's inclusion in the match certainly adds another wrinkle into the proceedings, especially amid rumors that some WWE officials have cold feet about pushing Reigns so soon.

Reigns took acting lessons to try to improve his character as the WWE wants to make him as good as possible in order for him to get his big push.

While the WWE may stick with the plans to have Reigns win the Rumble Match, they could opt to put Bryan in the main event for the second straight year.

It wouldn't be the first time the WWE changed its mind as they had Batista vs. Randy Orton penciled in originally for the main event of WrestleMania XXX last year in New Orleans.

The fans souring on Batista combined with a groundswell of support for Bryan led to the WWE flipping the script and having Bryan defeat Triple H and then overcome Orton and Batista in the main event to leave the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Bryan was forced to forfeit the title after he had to undergo surgery on his neck and subsequently lost feeling in his arm from the procedure.

Reigns is set to headline WrestleMania 31, but it's worth keeping an eye on Bryan now that he is back in the WWE picture after he never lost the title but was forced to forfeit it early last year.
