Colin Kaepernick Update: Kurt Warner's Training Set To Begin For 49ers QB [VIDEO]

Colin Kaepernick attempted to capture the moment, as if he is about to embark on a journey of enlightenment.

He hopes it's the "before" picture as he strives to become an All-Pro-caliber quarterback. Or a Super Bowl quarterback.

Colin Kaepernick turns to Kurt Warner to help save his career?

CSNBayArea.com reported that the San Francisco 49ers quarterback arrived in Phoenix to begin working out with quarterbacks coach Dennis Gile and two-time NFL MVP Kurt Warner on the intricacies of becoming an effective pocket passer.

Kaepernick is expected to spend the next 11 weeks in field work with Gile and film study with Warner, CSNBayArea.com reported. It set April 4 as Kaepernick's completion date.

Two days later, the new 49ers head coach and staff will be able to begin their offseason training. The NFL allows NFL teams with new head coaches two extra weeks of offseason workouts before teams with returning head coaches can start their offseason conditioning, according to ninersnation.com.

Along with Kaepernick's Instagram photo that shows him with his back to the camera looking out over the city is the caption, "Looking down on AZ with @joehaden23 (Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Haden) and @kgaskins5 (49ers practice squad running back Kendall Gaskins) figuring out how to take over!"

Kaepernick had career highs of 3,369 passing yards and 639 rushing yards in 2014. Yet, his passer rating of 86.4 was the worst in his three years as a starter. He threw for 19 touchdowns and had one rushing touchdown.

The Nevada alum had 1,814 passing yards with 10 touchdown passes and three interceptions, 415 rushing yards and five rushing TDs in just seven starts when he guided the 49ers to the Super Bowl in 2012.

Warner is expected to work with Kaepernick a couple of days per week, "mostly in the film room and on the board to hone his mental understanding of the game," CSNBayArea.com reported. Gile and his partner Mike Giovando will instruct Kaepernick "on all aspects of quarterback fundamentals and techniques."

Gile added that Kaepernick could receive additional instruction from Hall of Famer Steve Young and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Trent Dilfer.

"During the Super Bowl week, all those guys will be around," Gile said. "It's really up to Colin who he wants to be around. Kurt, Trent and Steve are three Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks who have a ton of knowledge."
