Shaquille O'Neal Mistress Vanessa Lopez's Lawsuit Against NBA Star Thrown Out Because She Lied in Court, Florida Judge Says

A Florida judge threw out a lawsuit filed by a woman claiming that NBA star Shaquille O'Neal harassed her after their breakup, accusing the woman of telling multiple lies, TMZ.com is reporting.

Vanessa Lopez filed a suit against the NBA star in 2010, claiming she was his mistress for five years before breaking up with him. Her claim also said that he tried to make her fear for her safety, TMZ added.

According to TMZ, the judge, however, claimed that Lopez lied throughout her time in the courtroom.

"[Lopez] lied often. She lied about facts important to the defense, and she demonstrated an utter disrespect for the system of justice," the judge stated.

She claimed she didn't know of any restraining orders filed against her (prior to one O'Neal brought on at the end of March), but official records indicated another ex-boyfriend also had filed for one against her.

The Hollywood Gossip website also reported that Lopez had run-ins with fellow NBA players Delonte West and Kenyon Martin - at the same time she claimed to become romantically involved with O'Neal.

In 2006, West - then a member of the Boston Celtics - called security on Lopez, claiming she refused to leave his Orlando hotel room.

Police were called to the room where Lopez, according to the police report, accused West of making unwanted sexual advances toward her.

Martin accused her of stealing his credit cards and running up charges in 2007, another legal issue the Florida judge said that she misrepresented in court.

According to PerezHilton.com, Lopez accused O'Neal of invasion of privacy, racketeering, emotional distress and intentional inflection and hired lawyer Gloria Allred. Lopez had sought punitive damages.

Allred withdrew from the case in April, citing fraud in court documents, radaronline.com reported. The judge ordered that Lopez's lawsuit was dismissed on the basis of fraud on the court -- with prejudice, meaning she can't refile, TMZ.com said.
