Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao: Alex Ariza Shreds Bob Arum's 'Vomit' Predicts Pacman vs. Jessie Vargas [VIDEO]

Alex Ariza, a well-known former strength trainer for Manny Pacquiao who recently joined Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s Money Team, has quickly taken on Mayweather’s distaste for Top Rank CEO Bob Arum. In an interview with FightHype.com, Ariza shot down the proposes Mayweather vs. Pacquiao super fight, ripped Arum, and predicted Pacquiao’s next opponent.

“It’s sad, deceptive and it’s straight lying what Bob Arum is doing,” Ariza said. “To me it’s revolting that the fans have to sit there and get their hopes up for something that doesn’t exist.

“It's not going to happen. We're fighting May 2nd but it's not going to be Manny Pacquiao. Hopefully eventually Bob Arum will blow away in the wind or whatever. As soon as we get rid of him, we can get it on.”

Ariza had plenty more to say, including a harsh rebuke of the boxing media for unfairly portraying Mayweather’s role in a fight with Pacquiao never being agreed on.

“You write the same vomit that he spews, and you lick it up and you write it instead of asking the hard questions,” Ariza said.

Ariza’s comments fueled speculation that Miguel Cotto’s refusal to accept a proposal from Golden Boy to fight Canelo Alvarez on May 2 meant an imminent deal to have a rematch with Mayweather for his WBC middleweight title.

Ariza then made predictions about who Pacquiao will fight next. If his predictions come true, it’s safe to think boxing fans will be disappointed.

“Manny’s fighting Jessie Vargas and we’re [Mayweather] fighting somebody else on May 2nd. Then in November we’ll see Manny in with Mikey Garcia, and then get used to Mikey Garcia 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and whatever.

“But as long as Bob Arum is in the picture you’re not going to see this [Mayweather-Pacquiao) fight. All I know is Floyd wants this fight more than ever. This is something he’s trying, but it’s impossible to work with Bob…He’s never going to let it happen.”

Fans hoping that Ariza was shooting from the hip blindly will be disheartened to read Mayweather’s latest tweet in response to Ariza’s loaded interview.
