Roman Reigns Booed: Rumble Winner Reacts To Critics, Talks Facing Brock Lesnar [VIDEO]

The WWE Universe was not kind to 2015 Royal Rumble Match winner Roman Reigns on Sunday at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.

Rusev vs. John Cena Bout Hinted For WrestleMania, Updated Rumors

The fans at the 28th annual Royal Rumble were solidly behind Daniel Bryan, who entered the fray at No. 10, but "The Beard" was the 11th man tossed out of the match when Bray Wyatt threw him out, causing the crowd to instantly turn on the bout.

The fans continued to boo when Reigns emerged as the winner and the No. 1 contender for Brock Lesnar's WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 31.

5 Possible Matches For WWE Fast Lane 2015

Prior to the Rumble Match, Reigns was already dealing with a lot of critics and he spoke to CraveOnline.com about listening to his critics.

"Yeah, I think it's hard not to pay attention these days with all of the social media networks and all of the different outlets," Reigns told the site. "It's so easy to connect with fans nowadays. You know, I have a Twitter and things like that. I'm not a crazy Twitter guy to where I'm tweeting out stuff every day and rarely even once a week, do I tweet. But I mean, occasionally, I read some stuff."

He continued: "The funny part is, you have a guy like me who is kind of getting like a mixed vibe from time-to-time. I get a lot of love and then you'll get the hate in the middle of it but it's just funny, the perspectives you know, the differences between the love and the hate. As far as the hate, it makes me laugh. Everybody is a critic. Every critic I've ever had, they weren't wrestlers [laughs]. Every wrestler I've ever had critique me, they were always into my stuff or what I'm doing out there. For a non-wrestler, someone who doesn't even know how to lock up, and if we did lock up, they wouldn't know what to do, for them to critique any of us, it really does pop me."

Reigns also spoke to The Turnbuckle Weekly about facing Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 at Levi's Stadium in California on March 29 after Lesnar successfully defended his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins and John Cena at the Royal Rumble.

"I think it would be one of the hardest hitting matches of all-time," Reigns told the program. "It'd be extremely aggressive. I think you'd see a level of intensity you've never seen before."

Reigns, who the WWE is trying to push as its next big top star, also discussed working with an acting coach in Los Angeles.

"It wasn't about promos," he said. "It's really connecting with any type of emotions and connecting with triggers."

While Reigns was totally rejected Sunday night, the WWE seems to be set with the plans of having him battle Lesnar at WrestleMania 31.
