Cuban infielder Yoan Moncada, who has yet to be cleared for free agency by the Office of Foregin Asset Control, has worked out for a slew of MLB clubs and may start a bidding war once he's eligible to be signed.

Among the group of teams to take in Moncada's workout, the Los Angeles Dodgers may be the most interested party. Yahoo!'s Jeff Passan called them a "significant threat" because of their willingness to spend, but wouldn't rule out other financial heavyweights like the Yankees and Red Sox.

Despite being just 19 years old, Moncada is considered a five-tool prospect and is expected to command a deal in the $30-40 million range.

"He's worth going way over your international spending pool, in my opinion," one scouting director said per MLB.com. "This game is about talent and Moncada is the kind of talent worth the investment."

Kiley McDaniels of Fangraphs wrote a glowing review of Moncada after a recent workout.

"Moncada is 19 and packs a lot of tools into his 6'1", 210-pound frame. He's a plus-plus runner with above-average raw power from both sides of the plate and the tools/skills to stick in the infield, possibly at shortstop. Moncada is the quick-twitch type with big bat speed that clubs covet, and his track record of hitting at big tournaments and in Cuba's professional leagues is excellent considering his age."
