New York Jets Rumors: Patriots CB Darrelle Revis 'Not Sorry' For Fans Of Gang Green [VIDEO]

The New York Jets haven't been in a Super Bowl since 1969, but as former Gang Green and current New England Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis prepares for his first shot at the big game he isn't "sorry" for Jets fans.

Revis has made $29 million since being traded by the Jets to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two offseasons ago and then ending up with the Patriots.

As he prepares for his team's battle with the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, Revis isn't thinking about feeling bad for fans of his old team.

"Do I feel sorry for the Jets' fans? Um, not really," he said, according to NJ Advance Media. "It's not really my call. I didn't make the call. Management made the call at that time and they felt it was best to get rid of me. That was the situation. That is how I look at it."

The Jets are 12-20 since trading Darrelle Revis and are currently rebuilding their team as Mike Maccagnan was hired to replace John Idzik -- the man who traded Revis to the Bucs -- as general manager while Todd Bowles was brought into replace Revis' old head coach Rex Ryan.

New York traded Revis to the Bucs in April 2013 due to his stubbornness in negotiations on a new pact. The cornerback then signed with the Patriots after one year in Tampa Bay.

Now, Revis and the Patriots are headed for a Super Bowl showdown with the Seahawks.

Revis was drafted by the Jets 14th overall in the 2007 NFL Draft and spent six seasons with them, racking up 19 interceptions in 79 games.

Now, he plays for the archrival Patriots where he had two picks in 16 games this season and then added another interception in the AFC Championship Game against the Indianapolis Colts.

With his days in New York behind him, Revis hopes to aid the Patriots to the fourth Super Bowl in franchise history this Sunday against the Seahawks in Arizona.
