Super Bowl 2015 Prop Bets: Best New England Patriots Wagers On The Board For The Big Game

Super Bowl XLIX is almost here and some folks might not be feeling the matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots. If that's the case-that's what gambling is for.

Here at SWN, we're about to provide you with some of the best Seahawks-related prop bets available to keep the matchup interesting.

Super Bowl MVP--LeGarrette Blount (12/1)

Don't laugh so quickly. Since joining the Pats, Blount has averaged 4.7 yards per carry. Against the Colts in the AFC Championship he gashed them for 148 yards and three scores.

New England is a balanced offense, and Tom Brady might not be able to pile up stats vs. the Legion of Boom secondary with underwhelming threats at wide receiver. New England may need to rely on the running game quite a bit in this Super Bowl, and if Blount can find the end zone a few times he'll be in the running.

4 Or More Total Touchdown Passes--Tom Brady (+600)

Not buying my Blount theory? Rather go with the future Hall of Famer in Brady if you're thinking the Pats take this title? If so, then go for the gusto. He's been very accurate this season-33 touchdowns against just nine interceptions in the regular season-and in the playoffs (6 TDs, 2 INTs).

If the Patriots are going to win the Super Bowl, they'll have to score points and in the red zone there isn't a single target in the NFL like Rob Gronkowski. Whether he forces it into Gronk, or finds other options because Gronk is opening things up, Brady has the chops to succeed vs. any secondary.

Under .5 Interceptions--Tom Brady (+130)

Whether Brady has a big game or not, turnovers haven't been a problem for him at any point this year. He's been picked off more than once only twice in 18 games (including the playoffs) and avoided throwing an interception nine times.

Against the Legion of Boom, he knows the threats out there and with two weeks to prepare the offense should be humming from the first snap. Perhaps the Seahawks pressure will get to him and force a rough night, but forcing turnovers won't be easy.

Under 2 Receptions--Danny Amendola (+115)

The Pats might sacrifice Amendola to Richard Sherman's side of the field, and allow Julian Edelman to operate out of the slot, and Brandon LaFell to go up against Byron Maxwell. That's not to say LaFell will dominate Maxwell, but it sure beats trying to throw on Sherman.

Over .5 Total Sacks--Chandler Jones (-125)

Jones didn't lead the Pats in sacks this season, but he is the team's best pass rusher. Seattle ranked 24th in the NFL in pass protection this season, and a major part of that is Russell Wilson's tendency to hang on to the football too long while scrambling to make plays. He may be able to make a bunch of plays in this game, but he'll get sacked some too. Betting on Jones to get at least one is just smart.

Parlay--Anderson Silva def. Nick Diaz, Patriots Win (+125)

If you think the Patriots will win this game, parlay it with arguably the greatest MMA fighter of all time (Silva) facing a brawler with flaws (Diaz).

Special--Rob Gronkowski TD + Patriots Win (+150)

If New England is going to win, Gronkowski will almost assuredly be a big factor. When Gronk stars, the Pats win. If he scores, the Patriots chances go up. If you're thinking Patriots then this is a logical move to make.
