America is ready for the biggest game of the year as the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks battle in Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday evening, but not everyone across the country has Super Bowl fever.
While some will watch the game out of a love for football, some will be interested only for the commercials and others will tune-in just because it's on, there are some people who have no interest in watching the Super Bowl and are looking for an alternative.
Luckily, there are several other options as many networks have packed their schedules in order to fulfill the desires of anti-Super Bowl residents.
Here are five things the non-Super Bowl fan can watch this Sunday while the rest of America watches the NFL's biggest game of the year.
1) The Walking Dead Marathon: Long-time fans or newcomers to AMC's zombie drama are in for a Super Bowl treat on Sunday. The network is putting on a marathon of the show, starting with the very first episode "Days Gone By" at 10 a.m. ET. The fun continues through the Super Bowl as when the ball is kicked off, the station will be airing "Bloodletting" at 6 p.m. The marathon will go well past postgame as the network will air "Pretty Much Dead Already" at 11 p.m.
2) Puppy Bowl XI: Not looking to watch grown men in uniforms clash in football action? You can turn on Animal Planet and tune into the 11th annual Puppy Bowl where adorable puppies in Team Ruff and Team Fluff go head-to-head. The network also promises a halftime performance by Katy Furry.
3) The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Admittedly, this option won't be for everyone, but Bravo has a marathon of this show running all Super Bowl Sunday long. It starts out at 11 a.m. ET and runs all the way to 10 p.m., making sure that you can miss the pre-game and the actual big game itself.
4) Netflix: If cable just isn't doing it for you, you can always binge watch some great shows on Netflix. Some of the best dramas the subscription service has to offer include Breaking Bad, Lost and Netflix original House of Cards while on the comedy side, shows like Scrubs, Friends, Parks and Recreation and Netflix original Orange is the New Black are good picks. If none of these tickle you fancy, there are hundreds of options on the service, including movies.
5) Off to the Theatre: If you want to just be away from your television to make sure you don't even accidentally catch a single down of the Super Bowl, you could always go to the movies. You can go out and catch any of the eight movies up for Best Picture at this year's Academy Awards. That list includes American Sniper, Selma, The Great Budapest Hotel and more.
Either the Seahawks or Patriots will hold up the Lombardi Trophy this Sunday night, but not everyone wants to see it.
