Adrien Broner Next Fight: John Molina Believes Beating 'The Problem' Will Erase Past Losses [VIDEO]

On March 7 Adrien Broner will take on Jon Molina Jr. on the first fight card of Premier Boxing Champions, a new boxing series created by Al Haymon. He has all but guaranteed a junior welterweight championship is coming his way, but first he must get by the power-punching Molina.

"I definitely will be world champion at 140 pounds one day, but this fight it's not going to happen," Broner said. "My main task is getting my victory and looking good doing that."

Molina engaged in one of the best fights of 2014 against Lucas "The Machine" Matthysse, whom many expected Broner to face in this bout. Molina was able to knock down Matthysse twice, but he also hit the canvas two times, and was stopped after the second one.

He followed up the Matthysse loss by dropping a unanimous decision to Humberto Soto, a decidedly less celebrated opponent.

Molina is a known slugger and tough guy, but he is clearly being set up to stand in front of Broner and make him look good. Broner, however, has a penchant for being lax at times in the ring and must be careful with Molina's power. The underdog Molina will undoubtedly fight his hardest, and he believes beating Broner will eradicate his previous losses.

"A win over Adrien Broner erases any hiccups that we had in our career thus far. That's how big of a name Adrien Broner brings to the table, and I can respect that. But at the same time, we're out there to be victorious, give the fans a treat and leave it all on the table, and I fully anticipate doing that on March 7th," Molina said.

He also indicated that he doesn't think his five losses will be held against him going forward because of his entertaining style and willingness to face top-notch opposition.

"If you look back at the old-time fighters, the zero in the losses were not there and losses were to be expected because you had the best fighting the best," Molina said. "We don't go out there anticipating to lose. We go out there to put it all on the table. I want to fight. If the fans are going to pay their hard-earned money to watch me fight, I'm going to give them a fight. "
