Richie Incognito Return to NFL: Rex Ryan's Mission To Build 'Bully' Out of Buffalo Bills Starts With Ex-Dolphin [VIDEO]

The alleged bully is back.

The Buffalo Bills, with new head coach Rex Ryan at the helm, announced Saturday that they have signed controversial guard Richie Incognito, according to multiple media outlets. A source told ESPN that Incognito's one-year deal will be worth $2.25 million.

Incognito was a member of the Miami Dolphins in 2013 when he was suspended for the final eight games in an ordeal that began when teammate Jonathan Martin walked out on the team, saying he was being bullied by Incognito and others within the Dolphins locker room.

An NFL investigation revealed that Incognito and two other Miami offensive linemen, John Jerry and Mike Pouncey, were guilty of harassing Martin. Neither Martin nor Incognito returned to the Dolphins.

Martin went to the San Francisco 49ers in a trade and Incognito was reinstated in 2014 but sat out the season after tryouts with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos failed to yield an offer, according to USA TODAY Sports.

The 31-year-old Incognito played three games with the Bills at the end of the 2009 season after being waived by the St. Louis Rams. Incognito, whose tweets during the Martin ordeal often added to his problems, said goodbye to deceased Bills owner Ralph Wilson on March 25, 2014 , in one of the last tweets he posted.

USA TODAY Sports added that the move by the Bills is consistent with the statements Ryan made after being hired in Buffalo.

"Ryan has vowed to 'build a bully' in Buffalo," USA TODAY Sports ironically wrote, "and his first notable addition is the most notorious bully in the NFL.

"This is not a look-at-me move. Incognito is a nasty, punishing blocker who epitomizes Ryan's vision. The question is whether Incognito has changed as a person and a teammate to justify Ryan's faith and keep the move from backfiring."

If Incognito can avoid more controversy, it could be a good move for the Bills. Both ESPN and USA TODAY Sports said Incognito is an upgrade over guards Kraig Urbik and Erik Pears.
