Skydiving Accident [VIDEO]: Plane Narrowly Misses Two Skydivers During Jump

Tags: Skydiving

Two skydivers narrowly escaped danger when the plane they jumped out of almost hit them before barely avoiding a mid-air collision.

A YouTube video shows the plane getting close to the skydivers after taking a nosedive and pointing toward the ground.

According to the video, this near-incident occurred in Thailand back on Oct. 19, 2014, when skydiving instructor Forest Pullman went on a tandem jump with a female skydiver.

Things started out okay, with the unidentified woman giving a thumbs up to the camera upon jumping out of the plane, but that's when things took a sour turn.

Soon after, the plane began to nosedive and was inches away from the couple. A camera mounted for the jump spun around after the propeller of the plane could be heard and the parachute was caught by the plane's wing.

Luckily, the parachute came free and the duo returned to the ground unharmed with a safe and secure landing. Panic and fear turned to high-fives and hugs as the relieved pair avoided what seemed to be certain tragedy.

Pullman posted the video on YouTube on Friday due to the rarity of the danger and it has since garnered 335,032 views.

"After an uneventful exit.... The pilot dove the airplane 180 degrees right at me and my tandem passenger. how we got so lucky?!?! Not sure," Pullman wrote in the video's description. "I have never heard of this happening. After some research and talking to friends about it I now know of two other incidents like this. One is on you tube and he did not get as lucky as we did...."

Thousands of viewers have no lived vicariously through the two skydivers, watching the whole ordeal unfold on YouTube.
