Sometimes it's the real simple things in life that give you pleasure.
Taylor Swift was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, and the two starred in a pre-packaged video in which they danced like idiots in various New York sports gear. If it doesn't bring a smile to your face for its sheer, earnest silliness, you have no soul.
Swift and Fallon are two of the hottest faces in showbiz, and they're fresh off the 40th anniversary special of Saturday Night Live.
Swift was born south of the Mason-Dixon line and made her bones singing country music, but the 25-year-old pop star has become something of a New York icon in recent months. The city's Transportation department named her an 'Ambassador' for the city, and her newest album 1989 opens with an anthemic single titled "Welcome to New York." Seeing her don various Gotham sports jerseys is just a natural step in that progression for her.
