Triple H sat down for his weekly interview with Michael Cole and addressed his in-ring meeting with Sting that's coming this Sunday, which will likely lead to an encounter between the two at WrestleMania 31.

"Here comes Sting, the one guy you never thought you'd see here," Triple H said. "The one guy that resisted every opportunity, every [offer] to be a part of this. And why? He still holds that in contempt...that whole situation. And now he's here...This has nothing to do with me -- and nobody sees that -- this has to do with taking away the WWE."

He continued: "Think about it, what is the WWE right now? What is the guiding force? What is it without a leadership? I said it Monday night, I am the WWE. Stephanie McMahon, my wife, is the WWE. Vince McMahon is the WWE. Without us, there is no WWE. No Michael Cole, no Roman Reigns, no John Cena, nobody."

Triple H also said the encounter is all about survival.

"So the WWE Universe, they can cheer for Sting, but I don't think they truly understand what's at stake at this," Triple H said. "Because if he takes away the future, he takes away the WWE and maybe that's what he's been after all this time. Waiting for the moment that he can win...Sting is WCW, we put the nail in that coffin a long time ago. If he thinks he's gonna come here and get some kind of retribution by putting the nail in the WWE, by taking me out, by taking out the McMahon family. No. And like I told Ric, I will fight that, there's nothing more important to me on this planet than the WWE other than my wife and my children and I will fight that till my last breath. So Sting on Sunday at Fastlane has to make a quick decision, is it worth that fight? Because I will go down to the bitter end and he cannot survive it."

Triple H also apologized to his friend and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair for shoving him down on Monday Night RAW this week.

"I'd like to take a moment to publicly apologize to Ric Flair," Triple H said. "And we've done this privately. I'm embarrassed by what happened on Monday. I just wanna take a second to apologize because the last thing I would ever want to do is insult Ric and Sting has put us in that position."

Triple H also touched on the upcoming United States Championship bout between Rusev and John Cena this Sunday at Fastlane.

"I think you never know how good you are until someone pushes you to show it -- the question is am I talking about John Cena or am I talking about Rusev?" Triple H said. "I think Rusev sent a message to John Cena that he heard loud and clear and maybe that message is that the end is near. And like he said in the commercial, he's not gonna go quietly into the light. So now John Cena sends a message back to Rusev and now I wonder, has he woken up an animal? Has he poked the bear? I think he's about to find out at Fastlane."

Lastly, the COO talked about 2015 Royal Rumble winner Roman Reigns battling Daniel Bryan to see who will face WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31 for the gold.

"This is an exciting matchup to me and an interesting matchup," Triple H said. "You have the experience of Daniel Bryan and in-ring skill...going up against Roman Reigns. He's new, young, hungry and willing to stop at nothing to get what he wants...I think it's gonna be interesting to see whether technical expertise can win the day or whether a good old fashioned a-- kicking is in store."
