The couple has been dating since they were both in high school, and they obviously care for each other. That kind of stability is undoubtedly useful to a young ballplayer that is trying to adjust to life in a new city, a demanding lifestyle, and fame and fortune being thrown at him at a young age.

Trout also says great things about Cox. "I met her in high school, and we trust each other, and she is one of my best friends," he says. "She is somebody I can talk to and is always here for me."
Cox also makes herself a part of team activities, as she helps participate in charity drives with the wives of other players on the team. In short, she does everything that anyone could expect her to and more, and she probably played a huge role in Trout's rise to superstardom.
