Marshawn Lynch Rumors: Seattle RB Releases Movie About His Life While Mulling Retirement

The Seattle Seahawks have not made many headlines since the furor died down over how they lost the Super Bowl. They have been waiting to hear whether star running back Marshawn Lynch will return or not, as Beast Mode is reportedly mulling retirement.

While he makes his decision about his playing career, Lynch has apparently decided to release a movie about his life, according to SportsGrid. The movie was made for Family 1st Family, which is an organization that Lynch founded.

The movie stars Lynch playing himself, and the trailer certainly appears a bit rough around the edges. The film goes by the name of Family First, which also happens to be the name of a controversial non-profit organization.

Dez Bryant's Career In Jeopardy Over Video?

From SportsGrid:

"Note that Mark Merrill, the president of Family First, had a radio show that was first trademarked by Florida Family Council, Inc., a branch of the Family Research Council. He has also spoken numerous times against same-sex marriage rights, and used his platform to oppose Disney's extending benefits to domestic partners."

So to sum up, Lynch's movie shares its name with an organization that is a borderline hate group against homosexuality.

There is still no word on whether Lynch has made a decision about his future, although many within the Seattle organization believe that he will return, and the team has expressed interest in signing him to an extension, albeit at a lower annual salary. Regardless, it does not appear that Lynch has a movie-making career that he can fall back on.
