Dez Bryant Rumors: Mom Defends Dallas Cowboys Free Agent Despite 2012 Domestic Dispute [VIDEO]

It seems that every single day, a new rumor involving Dez Bryant has emerged, and the Dallas Cowboys seem increasingly justified for not having already offered the star receiver a massive contract extension. The alleged incriminating video still has not surfaced, but as the saying goes, where there's smoke, there's probably fire.

The latest development involves the release of a video of an interview Bryant's mom gave with police after a domestic incident in 2012. According to TMZ, Dez's mom, Angela, says he roughed her up and ripped her shirt while threatening her during the dispute.

Bryant was arrested for assault after the incident, although the charges were dropped when he cut a deal. The whole thing apparently started after Dez was trying to fight his brother.

Now, Angela claims that the two have reconciled since the 2012 incident, and she also is on his side during this video controversy, saying that someone is trying to sabotage his career.

"Angela and her son have a great relationship and whoever is behind this is using [Dez's past in an] attempt to assassinate Dez's character," said a rep for Angela Bryant.

The rep goes on to say that the Angela and Dez have spoken regularly about the current situation and, "They believe it is no coincidence that this is happening around the time that [Dez's] contract is up for renewal."

"It comes down to someone trying to interfere with Dez getting his contract extended from the Cowboys," the rep added. "[Dez and Angela] don't know who's behind it. They are desperately trying to find out.
