Tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET on pay-per-view unbeaten Ronda Rousey will take on another undefeated fighter, Cat Zingano at UFC 184. Fans can be live stream the main card online by clicking this link. Rousey has become such a star in the UFC that when Chris Weidman fell to injury and had to pull out of a middleweight title defense against Vitor Belfort the event was able to continue on as planned. Four of her last five bouts have ended in less than one minute, and most recently she finished Alexis Davis in a meager 16 seconds.
Against Zingano though, Rousey is facing someone who excels in areas that she doesn't consider her greatest strengths. Zingano is a pure striker, connecting on more than 70 percent of her strikes. She's also a proficient practitioner of jiu-jitsu, entering this fight with 100 percent takedown accuracy.
Zingano can't be taken lightly-she has just one fewer fight under her belt than Rousey does and she is 9-0 with a few common opponents. Zingano is all business leading into the biggest fight of her career. When asked about facing Rousey and how she expects to put a one in her loss column she curtly said "Just watch," and left it at that.
Tonight's card is huge for women's MMA for another reason as well. Former boxer Holly Holm is fighting tonight as well, and could be the next opponent for either Rousey or Zingano with a win.
Holm doesn't know if she'll be getting a crack at Rousey that quickly, but a collision course is on everyone's mind.
"That's the ultimate goal: for Holly to challenge herself against the best," Holm's coach Mike Winkeljohn said.
"Right now, Ronda is the best at what she does. Holly wants to be that person, and we're confident she can be that person right now. I'd like to see how she does under the bright lights. You never know, it's always scary the first time in that environment, but she has been in some big fights."
