Ok, not really. But that's how Rowdy's mother treats the men in her life.
Rousey's mother is apparently a tough in-law to please, and she refuses to learn the actual name of her daughter's many suitors. Her reasoning is equal parts hilarious, ridiculous, and kind of half-true.
“What’s the point in learning his name if he’s not going to be sticking around?” she asks, via an essay in espnW.
The essay is penned by Maria Burns Ortiz (who is co-authoring a 2015 memoir of Rousey's as well), and includes a host of other juicy details as it relates to Rousey's boyfriends and her mum. Apparently Mrs. Rousey assigns each of the guys the name Bob, and a number to differentiate them from the previous one. Rousey's last boyfriend was apparently "Bob 6."
And there's only one way to prove you're worthy of getting your name back: you got to put a ring on it.
