Australian skydiver Christopher Jones experienced what had to be the scariest 30 seconds of his life when he had a seizure in midair during a jump.
According to NBC News, Jones suffered the seizure mere seconds after jumping out of a plane over Australia and was unconscious for 30 seconds in midair as he began to free fall from the plane.
The incident occurred in November, but Jones didn't share the video until Sunday.
The video shows the harrowing journey Jones experienced as he prepared for the jump and then leaped out of the plane. At the one-minute mark of the frightening footage, Jones is seen convulsing with his back aimed toward the ground after making a left turn at 9,000 feet.
"Possibly the scariest moment of my life," Jones wrote underneath the video.
Jones was unconscious and his instructor, Sheldon McFarlane, was able to reach out and pull the rip cord to open up his parachute.
Luckily for Jones, he landed safely following the ordeal after waking up at around 3,000 feet and he was able to avoid a catastrophe with the help of McFarlane.
Jones suffers from epilepsy, but was able to obtain clearance to skydive from a doctor's note after being "seizure free for four years," Jones told ABC Australia.
McFarlane said he wasn't worried if he wasn't able to get over to Jones because a remote device would have automatically pulled his rip cord.
"It was fine," MacFarlane told the Guardian. "We don't do it all day every day, but part of our training is to look after students."
