Dan Olsen hasn't featured on the PGA Tour since the 2011 PGA Championship, but that didn't keep the 48-year-old from stirring up controversy on a radio show in Lansing, Michigan. In an interview with 730AM The Game, Olsen hinted that Tiger Woods wasn't taking an indefinite leave of absence due to injury.

According to Olsen, it was a month's suspension due to a failed drug test that's keeping Woods off the course.
"I heard he's on a month's suspension," he said (via ESPN). "It's kind of a strong witness. It's a credible person who is telling me this. It's not testosterone, but it's something else. I think when it's all said and done, he's gonna surpass Lance Armstrong with infamy."

On Monday, Olsen entered damaged control and retracted his claims.
"Everything I said on that radio interview was only my opinion and not based on any firsthand knowledge or facts. I want to make a full retraction to everything I said for the entire radio interview, and I apologize to Tiger, Nike, Phil [Mickelson], [commissioner] Tim Finchem and the PGA Tour."
PGA Tour executive vice president Ty Votaw categorically denied Olsen's accusations.
"There is no truth whatsoever to these claims," Votaw said (via USA Today). "We categorically deny these allegations."
Woods' agent Mark Steinberg also fired back.
"These claims are absolutely, unequivocally and completely false," Steinberg said. "They are unsourced, unverified and completely ridiculous."
Woods last featured on the PGA Tour at the 2015 Farmers Insurance Open, but was forced to withdraw after 11 holes.
