Ndamukong Suh may be about to get paid.
The Florida Sun-Sentinel's Omar Kelly reported that the Miami Dolphins are expected to offer the Detroit Lions free agent a contract that could make him the highest-paid defender in the league.

According to Larry Brown Sports, Kelly also tweeted that because of the rich contract offer the Dolphins are making, other teams are resigned to the fact that Suh may take his talents to South Beach next season.

Earlier in the day, Yahoo! Sports reported that the Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts were expected to make the biggest pushes for the star defensive tackle.

According to the Sun-Sentinel, teams officially can make formal offers to free agents on Saturday, and the Dolphins are expected to off Suh a six-year contract worth more than $100 million with half of it - or at least $51 million fully guaranteed.
Among the other Dolphins assets are that they've been on the verge of making the playoffs, finish 2014 with an 8-8 record, their warm climate and the fact that Florida does not collect state taxes.
A source told Yahoo! Sports that the Dolphins have the slight edge for Suh's services but that the Lions and Colts are not far behind.
Suh has averaged just more than 48 tackles and 7.2 sacks per season during his first five years with the Detroit Lions. He has a reputation of being one of the dirtiest players in the NFL, as summarized by the Sun-Sentinel:
"The only two games Suh missed were a result of him being suspended two games for stomping on the arm of a Packers offensive lineman in 2011," the Sun-Sentinel reported. "He's also been fined $100,000 for two player-safety violations. In 2012 he was fined $30,000 for kicking then Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin, and a one-game suspension was reduced to a $70,000 fine last season for stomping on the injured calf of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers."
