Colin Kaepernick has one fewer defensive tackle to avoid, and couldn't be happier about it. Not that the move helps his own situation.
CSNBayArea reported that the San Francisco 49ers quarterback took to social networking to welcome the newest member of his team, former Arizona Cardinal Darnell Dockett.

Kaepernick sent a couple of social media messages to welcome his new teammate. The first on Instagram read: "Welcome to the bay big homie let's eat! @dockett90 #7tormsComing #HeDontGetTiredEither"
His second one read said: "Trust God's plan! @ddockett coming to a city near you! #7tormsComing #Savage https://instagram.com/p/z3kRl3NBEF/"
Dockett spent 10 years with the Arizona Cardinals but missed last season with a torn ACL that he suffered before the season started. According to CSNBayArea.com, Dockett sacked Kaepernick in Week 6 of the 2013 season.
But Kaepernick always has been an admirer of Dockett's work.

When Kaepernick heard that Dockett had been lost for the year with the season-ending knee injury, the quarterback also went on Instagram to respond:
"Prayers up for @dockett90 it hurt me to hear about this!" Kaepernick wrote. "Great respect for him because of the way he works!"
It's interesting to note that the 49ers first big move in the Jim Tomsula regime was to get a defensive player with so much pressure on Kaepernick to rebound from what most analysts considered to be a subpar 2014 season.
Kaepernick had his lowest quarterback rating during his three years as a starter in 2014 and was sacked 52 times. But Kaepernick defenders pointed to Kaepernick's surrounding cast that was labeled inconsistent at best.
Kaepernick enters the second year of a seven-year, $126 million deal, but $2 million of that already has been deducted because Kaepernick was unable to lead the 49ers to the Super Bowl or earn first- or second-team All-Pro.
Because of Kaepernick's contract structure, the 49ers can release him before April 1 each season and not owe him any more money.
If Kaepernick is to get any offensive help, he'll likely have to wait until the NFL Draft.
