For over three decades, WrestleMania has been the most prestigious event in wrestling lore as it has shaped careers and provided the WWE Universe with some of the most memorable matches and moments in the history of the company.

As we countdown the days until WrestleMania 31 on March 29 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., Sports World News will delve into the greatest moments at each of the first 30 events in the history of the legendary "Show of Shows."
We've reached the 1/3rd mark and the first double-digit WrestleMania, which brought a lot of change to the WWE. With stars like Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior and many others gone, new Superstars were set to make their mark when WrestleMania X rolled around.

The WWE went back to where it all began at the Mecca of Madison Square Garden in New York City as 18,065 people jammed into the World's Most Famous Arena for a historic event that was "10 Years in the Making" on March 20, 1994.
Here are our three best moments from WWE WrestleMania X.
3) Brother vs. Brother, Stealing the Show: The opening match of WrestleMania X may just be the best curtain-jerking bout ever at the "Show of Shows," and perhaps in WWE history.
The WWE kick-started one of its best feuds ever during the Survivor Series in 1993 as Owen Hart began to show heel tendencies and turned on his brother Bret "Hitman" Hart.
After the duo failed to make amends in the ensuing months, Bret reluctantly agreed to fight his brother at the biggest show of the year in front of a raucous crowd at WrestleMania X.
Hart vs. Hart opened things up at WrestleMania and was an absolute pulse-pounding five-star classic as the brothers waged war in a contest that was a back-and-forth affair and lasted over 20 minutes.
In the end, it was Owen standing tall, reversing one of Bret's moves into a roll-up pinning combination to win the bout and stun his older brother in what concluded a masterpiece of a match.
2) 'Hitman' Leads The New Generation: With many of the WWE's past stars gone for rival WCW, Vince McMahon realized it was time to push new guys to the forefront, and that revolution was led by Bret Hart.
Hart was a co-winner of the 1994 Royal Rumble Match with Lex Luger, and both took on Yokozuna for the WWE Championship in separate matches on the card.
With Hart falling to his brother earlier in the show and Luger failing to capture the WWE Championship from Yokozuna that night as well, it set up a main event of Hart vs. Yokozuna for the gold with neither man well-rested.
The match wasn't a classic by any stretch given Yokozuna's size and limitations in the ring, but Hart did his best to keep it entertaining and ended up getting revenge from the previous year by defeating his monstrous opponent for the belt.
Hart's win not only solidified him as the man on top of the WWE, but it helped usher in a new revolution for the WWE and was a statement by the company that it would survive without the likes of Hulk Hogan and other Superstars who helped shape the first nine WrestleManias.
This match was made better by Owen Hart -- who had beaten Bret mere hours before -- looking on menacingly as all the babyfaces hoisted Bret on their shoulders.
1) The Ladder to Success: Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels were feuding over the Intercontinental Championship in 1994 and when "The Heartbreak Kid" carried around his own belt and claimed to be the true title-holder, a Ladder Match was made between the pair at the "Show of Shows."
Ramon and Michaels gave the WWE Universe its first taste of the Ladder Match stipulation and it was a breath-taking affair that once again stole the show and provided the second five-star match of the evening.
Michaels and Ramon showed no regard for their bodies and laid it all on the line for the sake of entertaining the fans. Some memorable spots saw Michaels fly off the ladder to hit his adversary with a splash and Ramon push HBK off the ladder, over the ropes and onto the floor below. For 1994, the spots were extremely innovative.
The match was an unbelievable affair and in the end Ramon stood tall by winning the Intercontinental Championship while Michaels showed he had the potential to become the next huge star in the company.
Looking Ahead: While WrestleMania X put life back into the WWE, the air in the balloon was about to slowly fade as cartoonish characters and terrible gimmicks were about to come to the forefront. As we'll look at Monday, the WWE would turn to an NFL star to help save it when WrestleMania XI rolled around in 1995.
Rank-O-Mania: As we go through each year, we will rank each WrestleMania as it comes along. WrestleMania X was a great event for the WWE as its new stars took center stage and the match quality amped up. With two five-star matches and Bret Hart once again winning gold, WrestleMania X is the best event up to this point, slightly beating out WrestleManias VI and III.
