Oscar Pistorius Fear of Poisoning Update: Video of Blade Runner Playing Soccer Disputes Weight Loss Claim? [VIDEO]

If Oscar Pistorius is malnourished out of fear that his prison food may be poisoned, he is incredibly resilient.

The South African newspaper, The Daily Sun, obtained video of the double-amputee Olympic sprinter in a prison concrete courtyard playing soccer against Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir. The two reportedly became friends after they started working out together in their wing of the Kgosi Mampuru II Prison in November.

The two were engaged in a penalty kick-style shootout, switching back and forth from offensive player to goalie.

According to the Mirror, the video portrays a picture far different than the claims that Pistorius was living off tinned food that he was buying from the prison store because he was afraid the prison food he was receiving could be poisoned.

The Daily Mail, however, used the same video to report that Pistorius looked dramatically slimmer as he competed against Krejcir. It looks conceivable that Pistorius' arms are slimmer but the video is too fuzzy to make any definite statements about his condition.

Pistorius, after all, was an Olympic athlete, and he obviously wouldn't have access to nearly as much training equipment in prison as he would as a member of the South African Olympic team.

The reports of Pistorius' refusal to eat the prison food added that Pistorius no longer was able to fit in his prosthetic legs because of the weight he had lost.

But it didn't appear as if Pistorius was bothered by his prosthetic legs in the video.

Pistorius currently is serving five years on a culpable homicide charge in the shooting death of girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's Day, 2013. Pistorius is currently scheduled to be eligible for house arrest in August.

In December of last year, prosecutors in the case won the right to appeal the culpable homicide verdict and retry the case in front of the South African Court of Appeals to try to get a murder conviction. That would carry a minimum 15-year sentence.
