Cristiano Ronaldo Wife: Irina Shayk Wants a Gentleman, Felt Ugly and Insecure with CR7

The incomparable Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to Schalke 04, salvaging Real Madrid's Champions League campaign with a 5-4 aggregate win. The three-time FIFA Ballon d'Or winner, however, failed to salvage his relationship with Irina Shayk, announcing a split in January.

Speaking with the Spanish edition of Hello magazine, the supermodel lifted the lid on her relationship with Ronaldo.

"I feel positive and strong," the 29-year-old said of the break-up (via Goal). "If you're in a relationship, it should be good. Otherwise, it's best to leave. Relationships are hard, so one has to be clear about what kind of man you want beside you and what your values are, what is important in your life."

"If you stay with someone, one must walk in the same direction and look at things the same," she added. "Both must share the same concept of what a relationship means and both must believe in a monogamous relationship."

Now back on the market, Shayk revealed the kind of man she expects to be with next.

"I want a faithful, honest man," she said. "A gentleman who knows how to respect women. I do not believe in men that make us fall and be unhappy. That is not the behavior of a man, but a child."

"I thought that I had the perfect man, but no...I think a woman feels ugly when she has the wrong man."

"I felt ugly and insecure beside him."

Since the split, Ronaldo's impeccable scoring form has suffered and extended to the other members of the BBC, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema. Before the start of the 2015 calendar year, the trio averaged 2.03 goals per match. Since then, it's nearly halved to 1.07.

Ronaldo and Madrid return to the pitch on Mar. 8 against Levante.
