Johnny Manziel News: Cleveland Browns Quarterback To Demand Trade Following Exit From Rehab? [VIDEO]

Johnny Manziel remains in rehab for the time being as he works to improve his health and his predilection for binge drinking, but the drama for the Cleveland Browns quarterback might not end with his discharge.

Cleveland Front Office Denies Manziel Has Departed From Rehab

The Browns team Manziel will be returning to is markedly different than the one he first joined. The team's lost key contributors on both sides of the football and do not look likely to challenge for a postseason berth like they did in 2014.

Their future looks so bleak that Mike Freeman of the popular website Bleacher Report has written an article suggesting Johnny Football should seek a trade out of Cleveland, for self-preservation if nothing else.

Johnny Manziel Swears To Take 2015 Season 'More Seriously'

"Manziel may have halted his personal free-fall, but his professional one will continue because the franchise that drafted him has surrounded him with nothing," Freeman writes. "He returns to a franchise that isn't just a dumpster fire. It's doing something worse. It's giving him no chance to win if and when he returns to football. None. He's dead. Toast.

"Just one year later, Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota will enter far better situations than him," Freeman adds.

While Freeman makes some valid points, it's hard to imagine Manziel rewarding the Browns for their support and patience during his difficult time by immediately burning bridges with the team. However, we should all know by now that Johnny Football is nothing if not unpredictable.
