WWE Rumors: Chris Jericho Retiring? Y2J Would Be 'Happy' If He Didn't Wrestle Another Match [VIDEO]

Chris Jericho recently wrapped up his most recent stint with the WWE and the former Heavyweight Champion is fine if that's the last thing he ever does with the company.

Jericho has a lot of endeavors outside of the squared circle, including his rock band Fozzy and his Talk Is Jericho podcast and he told GetYourRockOut.com that he would be okay if he never wrestled another match.

"I've been very smart over the last 10 years in building the Chris Jericho brand, and wrestling is a part of what I do, but it's not by far the biggest thing of what I do by any shape or form," Jericho told the site, according to WrestlingInc.com. "And sometimes that confuses some of my fans, but I really don't care. If I never wrestle another match again, I'm happy with it. I've done all that I ever wanted to do and more. I still like going back [to wrestling] from time to time, because it's fun. But when other things come up, things that I've been working on for a long period of time, they start paying off, well, then you've gotta be there and spend that time on that as well."

Brock Lesnar Closing in on WWE Contract Extension, WrestleMania 31 Booking Changing?

Jericho has been a part-time performer for the WWE over the last few years and he returned last June in a surprise appearance on Monday Night RAW. Jericho then had a summer-long program with Bray Wyatt and had a match with Randy Orton at Night of Champions in September before closing out his stint.

"Y2J" then signed an interesting deal with the WWE where he would only do non-televised events through January and February and he joked that he was the "anti-Brock Lesnar" since "The Beast's" deal only includes limited television appearances and no house shows.

Jericho wrapped up those bookings recently and said he will not be a part of WrestleMania 31 later this month at Levi's Stadium.

Jericho also touched on the fans who stuck with him through his ventures inside and outside the squared circle as well as those who didn't.

"I've always lived my life doing what I wanna do and what feels right to me - not for money, [and] not what other people want me to do," he said. "If I listened to what other people want me to do, I never would have gotten into wrestling in the first place; everyone said I was too small. I never would have gotten into rock and roll in the first place; everyone said, 'You'll never do it.' So I learned a long time ago to be really happy with what you're doing career-wise; you have to follow your heart and do what you feel is right and commit to it. And if you commit to it, you'll make it; you'll do it. And, thankfully, the majority of my fans follow me throughout everything that I do. And if they don't, thanks for being aboard as long as you were. Thanks for being a part of it. And if you feel like you have to go the other way, that's cool too."

It's unclear what the future holds for Jericho in the ring, but he has many accolades including becoming a four-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
