Sting WWE Rumors: Jim Ross Praises 'The Vigilante's' RAW Appearance, Calls Him 'A Class Act' [VIDEO]

One person who was extremely thrilled to see Sting make an appearance on Monday Night RAW last week was WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross.

Ross took to his blog at Jrsbarbq.com and praised the WWE's use of "The Vigilante" after he appeared on RAW for just the second time -- first time in the ring - in what was the fourth occasion that Sting showed up since signing with the WWE.

With Seth Rollins and the rest of The Authority set to attack Orton, the lights went out and a crow sound was heard. Sting was standing in the ring when the lights came up and he helped Orton thwart off the heels.

Chris Jericho Says He Would Still Be 'Happy' If He Never Wrestled Again

Ross said he was very happy to see Sting appear and that he is excited for his WrestleMania 31 clash with Triple H in 10 days at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. on March 29.

"Great seeing Sting on WWE TV which, for the longest time, I thought would likely never occur," Ross wrote in his blog post. "Steve Borden is one of the best men in the biz and has always been a class act and one of my favorite people to work with over the years including his early days working in Mid South for Cowboy Bill Watts. I am beyond thrilled to see Sting finally get his 'WrestleMania Moment' this year as it is well earned and will be a moment that I will personally celebrate with The Stinger. Good things do often times happen to good people even in the wacky world of 'rasslin."

After years of close calls followed up by more months of negotiating, Sting has finally signed on with the WWE and will have his first bout -- and possibly the last clash of his career -- at WrestleMania 31.

Sting got his rise in the WCW and then continued his legendary career in TNA, but it's been a long road to get him to the WWE.

Sting first appeared on WWE television at the Survivor Series in November when the Team Authority vs. Team [John] Cena match boiled down to Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler on the respective sides with The Authority's power hanging in the balance.

Sting got into an altercation with Triple H and then helped Ziggler defeat Rollins to cause The Authority to lose its control.

When The Authority came back into power weeks later, they "fired" Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan for teaming with Cena and then booked a 3-on-1 bout pitting Cena against Rollins, The Big Show and Kane with the stipulation that if Cena won, he'd win the faces their jobs back.

Sting made his first ever appearance on RAW that evening, providing a distraction to Rollins and enabling Cena to roll him up and win the contest to get the jobs back for Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan.

Triple H was then livid and invited Sting to Fastlane last month in Memphis where the two had a physical and verbal altercation, leading to the match being made official for WrestleMania.

Now, Sting and Triple H will clash in a high-profile match in less than two weeks at WrestleMania 31.
