Tonight at 9:20 p.m. ET, No. 9 LSU (22-10, 11-7 SEC) and No. 8 NC State (20-13, 10-8 ACC) go head-to-head in Round 2 action of the NCAA tournament as March Madness continues with East region action live from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh.
LSU has had some highs and lows thus far this season, but they know they can beat or lose to anyone at any moment as they enter the tournament.
"We're still young, but we try not to use that as an excuse," sophomore forward Jordan Mickey said, according to ESPN. "We've won some big games and closed out games pretty well ... It's attention to detail. We probably lacked that at times, but I felt we've done a pretty good job of growing up as the season's gone on and gotten a lot better."

Mickey has paced LSU with 9.8 rebounds this season while fellow sophomore Jarell Martin has led the way with 16.9 points per game on the campaign.
N.C. State rolls into the tournament red-hot as they rattled off victories in six of their final eight contests to get here and has seen some strong performances from Cat Barber as of late.
"Here lately, he's really taken his game to another level," Ralston Turner, who left LSU for N.C. State three years ago, per ESPN. "When he plays like that, it makes it easy on the rest of us."
Trevor Lacey has paced N.C. State this season with 15.8 points per game and has added 4.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per contest as well.
