The team has diligently worked to fill roster holes through free agency so far, but they almost had another one to take care of after a wild incident involving linebacker Erik Walden.
According to the Indy Star, Erica Palmer, Walden's ex-girlfriend and the mother of his two children, suspected that he was seeing another woman. So she drove from Tennessee to Georgia (with her two kids in the car), stopping on the way to buy a knife and a baseball bat at Wal-Mart.

Walden was in fact dating a new woman, but the two had gone out to eat, so Palmer broke in and waited. When Walden and his lady friend got back, they found Palmer waiting for them on the couch, armed with Walden's gun and the baseball bat.
Walden wrestled the gun away, but Palmer did manage to strike his new girlfriend with the bat, breaking her arm.
Palmer ran away and Walden called the cops. After speaking with them, he got ready to drive his girlfriend to the hospital. Palmer reappeared wielding the knife. After brief struggle, she slashed Walden's arm before running away again.
Police caught and arrested Palmer, and she is being charged with multiple crimes, including burglary and several counts of assault.
