Jeremy Shockey Ex Wants Him Jailed In Alimony Dispute

The soon-to-be ex-wife of former NFL star Jeremy Shockey is asking a Florida judge to either fine or jail him over what she considers stonewalling tactics about his finances.

Daniela Cortazar-Shockey was married to Shockey for just eight months, yet is seeking alimony in wake of their bitter breakup.

According to TMZ, Shockey has countered by insisting he has an ironclad pre-nuptial agreement that clearly stipulates she gets nothing if the two ever went their separate ways.  Jeremy Shockey filed for divorce last October contending their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”

Despite the pre-nup, Cortazar-Shockey claims that based on Florida law she is still entitled to temporary support and lawyer’s fees.  Her attorneys further claim Shockey has refused to turn over financial documents showing his net worth.

Cortazar-Shockey is also demanding at least $15,000 from Shockey Jeremy amid claims he violated a privacy provision in their prenup by posting a picture of her backside online.

Shockey, 32, didn’t play in 2012, yet Cortazar-Shockey has still told the court she estimates his worth to be in the neighborhood of $15 million.

In ten NFL seasons, Shockey amassed more than 6,143 yards and 37 touchdowns. His best overall season came in 2005 with the New York Giants when he finished with 65 catches and seven touchdowns.
