Marshawn Lynch Rumors: Snoop Dogg Says Beast Mode Doesn't Smoke Weed Despite Brand Name

Marshawn Lynch has dealt with a lot so far this year. He was part of Seattle's run to the Super Bowl, and he was the biggest topic of discussion after the game after he did not get the ball on the game's biggest play. He also flirted with retirement, made a movie about his life, and signed a new deal to stay with the team.

One thing that he has not done, apparently, is smoke weed. According to TMZ, just because there is a strain of marijuana named after him (it is called Beastmode) and he loves to snack on Skittles, do not assume that Marshawn Lynch smokes the drug himself.

At least, that is the story according to Snoop Dogg. When it was mentioned to the famous hip hop artist that Beastmode started appearing in pot shops right around the time that the Seahawks were appearing in the Super Bowl, Snoop shot down the notion that Lynch indulges in the recreational drug.

"My homeboy got a career to play," Snoop says ... "He's still in the NFL. He's got a commissioner to deal with."

Lynch has not failed any drug tests since the Beastmode strain started to become popular, and with the rigorous drug testing that the NFL puts its athletes through, it does seem like a gamble that is not worth taking for Lynch anyway.

Besides, if anybody would know something about getting high, it would be the legendary rapper from California.
