WWE News 2015: Heat On Shawn Michaels For Tearing Up Speech & Going Off Cuff At Hall of Fame Ceremony? [VIDEO]

The WWE honored some of its all-time greats Saturday night at the annual Hall of Fame ceremony on the eve of WrestleMania 31, but it didn't go off without some controversy.

According to Wrestlingheadlines, WWE officials were not pleased with the way the Hall of Fame ceremony came together overall as they felt it ran too long and wasn't exciting enough.

One thing of note is that the company is reportedly upset with Shawn Michaels over his induction speech for his good friend and former partner Kevin Nash.

Michaels reportedly tore up his prepared speech and went off the cuff when he talked about Nash. The WWE was also apparently unhappy with Michaels' use of the word "strap" to discuss titles and saying "wrestler" throughout his speech.

Michaels wasn't the only one to reportedly draw the ire of company officials as former Women's Champion Alundra Blayze also rubbed them the wrong way.

The WWE was upset over her use of profanity in her speech and some officials weren't big on her putting over former WCW president Eric Bischoff.

WWE officials asked stars such as Michaels, Nash and Ric Flair, who inducted star Tatsumi Fujinami, to cut their speeches short, but were upset when they still ran long.

It wasn't all bad, however, as the WWE was very happy with the Bushwhackers induction as Luke and Butch told old stories and reminisced on stage.

While there is some anger in the aftermath of the 2015 Hall of Fame ceremony at the SAP Center in San Jose, it likely won't resonate into any long-term resentment.
