Real Madrid Transfer News: Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez Being Monitored by AC Milan for Summer Transfer

Javier "Chicharito" has featured for the giants of Mexico (Chivas Guadalajara), the giants of England (Manchester United) and the giants of Spain (Real Madrid). Now, the opportunity is there for the 26-year-old to feature for one of the former giants of Italy.

According to Tuttosport (via Goal Transfer Talk), AC Milan are monitoring Hernandez in case Mattia Destro leaves the San Siro. Per the report, the club is also monitoring Anderlecht's Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Away on international duty with Mexico, Hernandez voiced his displeasure with his role at Real Madrid, claiming he wasn't an important part of the team's collective efforts.

"My situation is frustrating," he said (via ESPN FC). "I participate, give my all in training, but as for playing in matches, the opportunities are minimal. I belong to a team, but am not part of the important bit, the actual games."

"Sometimes my confidence is right down on the ground, even though I am trying for it to be up there, with the help of the people who are always at my side and who support me."

Like Hernandez, Milan have too have plummeted to irrelevance. The 18-time Serie A champions haven't claimed silverware since 2011 and are sitting mid-table with 38 points. Barring a miracle, Champions League football will once again escape them.

The prestige the Red and Blacks will always remain, but the reality of 2015 is one that suits the talents of Hernandez. With no big-name signings to compete with, being relegated to the benches of the San Siro isn't the likely result.

It's the perfect opportunity for Hernandez to reclaim his 2011 form.
