According to NFL.com, some Colts players have spoked out, saying that they feel like they weren't given enough credit for their win in Denver. Safety Mike Adams went so far as to say that the team had Manning figured out and that they should have been praised for their defensive effort.

"I remember how well we played as a defense," Adams said. "A lot of the media talk was taking away from how well the defense played, and saying he was hurt, and this and that. But I think it was us. I think it was the defense and we went out there and executed our game plan."

"Their game is about timing," Adams added. "That's what they do, it's all based off timing and we disrupted that. We got in his face and we did things that made him feel uncomfortable."

Manning endured a lot of speculation about his future after the game, and if the Colts are right that the injury was a non-factor, then perhaps the many doubters were in fact correct. Manning played much worse over the final month of the season, which many attributed to his injury.

However, if the injury didn't affect the future Hall of Famer, then it would appear that Father Time has won another battle at long last. Either way, it looks like the Colts will never get due credit for that win because the narrative will always be about The Sheriff.
