Steve Kerr On Charles Barkley Comments: Chuck's Jabs At Golden State Okay Cause He 'Picks Up Every Bar Tab'?

The Golden State Warriors finally unleashed the potential that many thought they had this season. The team finished with the best record in the league despite playing in the hellacious Western Conference. They are an elite offensive and defensive team, and they are a title favorite heading into the playoffs.

Head coach Steve Kerr has received a lot of praise for his work with the team, and he is one of the favorites to win coach of the year. Despite the praise, he has still had his critics at times during the season, including Charles Barkley. But Kerr doesn't mind Barkley's criticism, according to CSN Bay Area.

Barkley has stated that he thinks Golden State is vulnerable, despite their stellar season. "I don't like jump-shooting teams," he said. "I don't think you can make enough jumpers to win four series, and I've said that for 25 years. They're going to beat the New Orleans Pelicans, but they have to some matchup issues and I think they'll struggle against big teams. They're a legitimate contender, but I just think bigger teams can beat them up down low."

Kerr shrugged off his former colleague's barbs (the two worked together for TNT before Kerr took the Golden State job), and he apparently did so because of the friendship they share.

"I love Charles. I worked with him for eight years," Kerr said, referring to his years as a TV analyst. "He's incredible at what he does. He's hilarious. He picks up every bar tab when you're on the road; 28 people from TNT at the bar, and he picks up the tab. He bought me so many beers over the years that whatever Charles wants to say about our team I have no problem with."

So there you have it folks. Buy your co-workers some beers when you're out, and then you can say whatever you want about them.
