Today at 3 p.m. ET, the puck drops on the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues in Game 2 of their Western Conference Round 1 series as part of the Stanley Cup playoffs live from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

Minnesota looks to take control of the series by jumping out to a 2-0 lead before returning home while St. Louis hopes to take care of home-ice and tie the series up at 1-1.

The Wild notched a 4-2 victory in Game 1 to take the lead in the series.

Minnesota had four different goal scorers in Game 1 as Jason Zucker, Matt Dumba (power play), Mikael Granlund (empty net) and Jason Pominville (empty net) all lit the lamp. Zach Parise notched two assists in the triumph.

St. Louis was lifted by goals from Jaden Schwartz and Alexander Steen, but couldn't cut into lead. Stalwart defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk produced two helpers in the defeat.

Between the pipes, Blues rookie goaltender Jake Allen surrended two goals on Thursday and turned aside 25 shots.

Wild netminder Devan Dubnyk yielded two goals while stifling 19 shots in Game 1.

St. Louis knows how important it is to even up the series before it shifts to Minnesota.

"You can't really put more emphasis on how we've got to play tomorrow," Blues right wing T.J. Oshie said after practice Friday via NHL.com. "There's no point in looking ahead; we've got to start with that first shift and go from there. A good meeting today, good practice, so we're ready to go tomorrow."

The Wild, meanwhile, knows the huge opportunity that lays in front of them.

"It shouldn't be hard to stay hungry," Wild coach Mike Yeo told NHL.com "If anything it should fuel it a little bit more. Probably helps that ... a little bit. But I think we still recognize the tough challenge we have ahead of us. We got the first game; that's great. But we know there's an awful lot of work to be done still."
