Cleveland Cavs News: LeBron James Looking To Avoid 'Nonsense' During NBA Playoffs [Details, VIDEO]

LeBron James spent half his career being a basketball player who cared deeply what everyone thought about him. His constant, almost pernicious need to be loved and validated was what made him first a hero, and then a pariah, among many NBA fans.

Now that he’s approaching the other side of his prime and a seasoned playoff veteran, King James is making it very clear that he is singularly focused on bringing Cleveland a title, and that he has no need for outside distractions.

DWade Talks Relationship With LeBron James

LeBron has it down to such a science, that he’s actually given up social media in its entirety in recent days to ensure his motivation and focus never waivers.

“I don’t have no forms of communication right now,” he told Bleacher Report’s Ethan J. Skolnick on Tuesday. “I don’t have no phones, I don’t have no social media. I don’t have anything. So I don’t know what is going on out in the world right now, besides what people tell me.”

Why’s that?

“Because I don’t care about nonsense,” LeBron said. “There’s too much nonsense out there. Not during this time. I lock in right now...I save all my energy and effort towards this team. That’s all that matters.”

Pat Riley Blasts LeBron's "Hidden Agenda"

James also refused to address the negative comments Miami Heat GM Pat Riley made about him on Monday. Riley obliquely but pointedly criticized James for what Riley considered to be duplicitous behavior in the 2014 off-season.

“I’m unaware. Whatever he said really, to me, it’s not my concern right now,” the four-time MVP said. “My concern is Game 2. But I have no notion of what transpired yesterday.”
