Iman Shumpert Rap Blasted: 105 DJ Charlemagne Tha God Criticizes Shump's Cavaliers Playoff Anthem [VIDEO]

It’s no secret that Cleveland Cavaliers guard Iman Shumpert has hip hop aspirations outside of his NBA basketball career.

When he was playing for the New York Knicks, Shumpert became a fan favorite for his mixtape freestyles (frequently sent viral on Facebook and other social media), and he popularized the hashtag #KnicksTape.

Now a guard for the two-seeded Cavs, Shumpert has dropped a new rap song, designed to be the team’s playoff anthem. However, not everybody in the rap world is a fan.

The Breakfast Club’s Charlamagne Tha God, of New York’s Power 105, didn’t mince words in criticizing the new track.

“It’s garbage,” Charlamagne said, via Black Sports Online. “He needs to focus on his defense and not his rapping.”

He also criticized the 24-year-old’s focus.

“LeBron doesn’t even tweet in the playoffs, and he’s making rap songs!? The best motivation he could provide for his team is getting in the gym.”

Shumpert has not responded to the DJ’s diss as of this moment. The Cavs defeated the Boston Celtics 103-95 on Thursday night to jump to a 3-0 lead in the opening round of the playoffs.

But the key question still remains ... is the song even good? Well, listen below and decide for yourself.
