First they made the quarterfinals of the World Cup for the first time in their history. Now The Tigers have defeated The Stars of Pakistan in four straight matches this month. Prior to that, they had previously beaten Pakistan once—one, single, solitary time—since 1999.
Those four wins were in one-day match formats, however. Beginning today, these two nations will kick off the long, arduous showdown we've come to associate with test cricket. A win for Bangladesh here will really cement their long-awaited arrival as a major cricket power of East Asia.
