The WWE has announced that the King of the Ring tournament will make a comeback and while the field hasn't been officially released, it is expected that Round 1 will air on RAW.

Stars being advertised for tonight's edition of the flagship show include WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, WWE United States Champion John Cena, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, Big Show and Sheamus.

It's worth noting that WWE Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan is no longer being advertised due to his injury.

The main storyline heading into the show revolves around Orton and Rollins as "The Architect" used the RKO and escaped the cage to beat "The Viper" Sunday at Extreme Rules. The WWE is selling it as a controversial ending as Rollins banned the use of the RKO from the match and then used it himself.

Cena will likely have another open challenge for his United States Championship after defeating Rusev in a Russian Chain Match on Sunday and the two are set to do battle in an I Quit Match next month at Payback.

There are also new Tag Team Champions as A New Day overcame Cesaro & Tyson Kidd at Extreme Rules and we'll find out what's next for both teams.

In the Divas division, Nikki Bella was able to retain her Divas Championship against Naomi and the newly turned heel may be looking to get some revenge on the Bella Twins after outside interference from Brie Bella helped cost her the match.

The WWE is also teasing Dean Ambrose getting set to destroy something else as "The Lunatic Fringe" is coming off of a big win in a Street Fight against Luke Harper.

Another star to watch is Neville as he defeated Bad News Barrett on the Extreme Rules pre-show in an impressive match.

Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler also appear poised to continue their feud as "The Celtic Warrior" lost to "The Showoff" in the Kiss Me Arse Match, but didn't abide by the stipulation as he took out Ziggler instead.

We'll also find out what's next for Roman Reigns after toppling The Big Show in a Last Man Standing Match. It's worth noting that there were rumors of a Reigns vs. Rollins vs. Orton match at Payback.

With Extreme Rules in the books, the WWE will likely start building toward Payback, which emanates from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Md. on May 17.

It should be a jam-packed edition of Monday Night RAW as the King of the Ring tournament begins and a new chapter opens up following the Extreme Rules event.
