WWE 'Payback' Rumors: Triple Threat Main Event To Feature Seth Rollins vs Randy Orton vs Roman Reigns? [VIDEO]

With Extreme Rules said and done, the WWE will now begin the build for Payback, which emanates live from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Md. on May 17.

The company announced at Extreme Rules that John Cena will defend his United States Championship against Rusev in an I Quit Match, but other than that the rest of the card for the show remains up in the air.

There have been rumors that Seth Rollins may defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton and Roman Reigns while their also has been speculation that Reigns will face Kane.

Bill Goldberg Discusses Possible Return To WWE

For Sports World News' projected card, we'll go with the Triple Threat Match option as Rollins and Orton should continue their feud and Reigns should be inserted after "The Architect" ruined his plans at WrestleMania 31 and now that he defeated Big Show in a Last Man Standing Match.

It's unlikely that WWE Intercontinental Champion Daniel Bryan will appear since he was scratched from Extreme Rules with an injury, laying credence to the rumor that he may be out for five weeks.

With Bryan sidelined, the WWE could either vacate his title for the event or set up a match to determine the No. 1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship for when Bryan returns.

Either way, the match would be a Fatal 4 Way pitting Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Bad News Barrett vs. Neville with the winner either winning the vacant gold or becoming No. 1 contender.

Regarding Bray Wyatt, there have been plenty of rumors that he is targeting Ryback with his cryptic promos, so the WWE will likely start the buildup for that feud on RAW in the coming weeks, leading to a one-on-one clash at Payback.

In the tag team division, new Tag Team Champions The New Day will have to embark in a rematch with Cesaro and Tyson Kidd after picking up the gold from them at Extreme Rules, likely at Payback.

Looking to the Divas, the division could use an influx of women as AJ Lee retired and Paige is on hiatus to film a movie, so the WWE could call someone like Charlotte up and develop them into the No. 1 contender for Nikki Bella's belt next month.

Rounding out the card, Dean Ambrose and Luke Harper could riff off the ending to their Extreme Rules match and go one-on-one in a chairs match.
