The world of basketball got an undue scare on Wednesday, when Kareem Abdul Jabbar was admitted into the hospital. Jabbar had previously undergone a quadruple coronary bypass surgery just two weeks earlier.

Jabbar was a Hall of Fame center for the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers throughout the 1970s and ‘80s, and he continues to be a topnotch ambassador for the sport to this day.
Luckily, MSN.com reported that his reps have said he is doing just fine and is in solid health following the quick visit. They credited an unexpected ‘heart irregularity’ as the reason for the hospital trip.
The whole stay lasted only an hour, and Abdul Jabbar has returned home safely since. Millions of fans breathe a sigh of relief.
